LICENSE BOUNDARY

The adapter is open source. TIBCO EBX and ps-mdm are not redistributed. Request authorized ps-mdm repository or binary access from the ON EBX CS Team.

The transport essentials, with the transaction boundary left explicit.

Publish

Send ps-mdm outbound messages to keyed Kafka topic records and wait for broker acknowledgement.

Poll bounded Kafka batches and map values, keys, headers, partitions, and offsets into ps-mdm inbound messages.

Configure safely

Pass native Kafka properties through a protected properties file, JVM settings, or environment variables.

Operate

List authorized topics, reset client resources, and shut down the producer cleanly during module lifecycle changes.

The thin JAR contains only the adapter classes. The bundled JAR also contains Apache Kafka runtime dependencies. Neither contains EBX or ps-mdm classes.

DELIVERY MODEL

At-least-once by design.

Kafka and EBX do not share one transaction.
Outbound automatic publication should use an EBX outbox.
Inbound consumers should commit only after an EBX procedure succeeds.
Store topic, partition, and offset in an EBX idempotency ledger.
